COMMERCIAL & INSTITUTIONAL
MARKET SEGMENT
We are often recognized
for our excellent heavy-duty hand cleaners
but STOKO® Skin Care
knows the importance of clean & healthy
skin even when there is no visible dirt.
“32% of all
unscheduled absences (from work) are
due to illness from infectious disease,
and the average cost of unscheduled absences
is estimated at $755 per employee.” (Source:
Research firm, CCH, Inc.) A recent “Time” magazine
article referenced a University of Michigan
study that found that colds cost the
United States $40
billion a year.
Hand hygiene is a
critical component in preventing the
spread of infectious disease. In fact,
according to the American Society for
Microbiology (ASM) handwashing is the
best public defense against the spread
of common diseases such as the cold and
gastrointestinal infections. See more
information on ASM’s “Clean
Hands Campaign” at the website
they created to promote handwashing,
www.washup.org.
A survey of
handwashing habits in airport restrooms
by the American Society For Microbiology
found that out of 7,541 people observed,
26 percent of men and 17 percent of
women did not wash their hands after
using the restroom. Ironically, an
ASM phone survey revealed that only
5 percent of respondents admitted that
they do not wash their hands after
using the restroom.
One way to increase
hand washing in your office, school
or facility is to provide employees,
customers and students with products
that make washing their hands a pleasant
experience. STOKO® Skin
Care offers light-duty/all-purpose
cleansers in
both foam and spray form. Light, pleasant
fragrances and a unique feel make these
products a popular addition to any
restroom.
In
addition to the foam and spray soaps,
STOKO® Skin Care
Skin Care offers a wide variety of liquid
hand cleaners, including instant hand
sanitizing gel. Liquid products are
packaged in dispensable bottles. When
the bottle is empty, simply insert
another into the dispenser. This is
much more hygienic than bar soaps used
by multiple people or dispensers with
refillable reservoirs that can become
contaminated. The Center for Disease
Control states, “Do not add soap
to a partially empty soap dispenser.
This practice can lead to bacterial
contamination of soap.”
Keep
your hands clean with STOKO® Skin
Care!
